The world the characters and monsters of PDT inhabit, The Cradle of Fortune, has been a boon for travelers over the years and created vast wealth for its inhabitants. Recently things have been... changing. Islands once tropical and lush have turned into icy prisons. Others have seen their vegetation turn to ashen wastes. The utopia that forged some of the most cunning and legendary seafarers now finds itself spiraling ever faster into an unknown state.

Lesser ships and journeymen have also started to go missing and the captains of the Cradle have since set out to reveal the mysteries of their world to return its former glory.

The heros of PDT come in all shapes and sizes. When it comes to amassing treasure there are many ways to skin the cat. The Cradle has been such a fern gully for so many years, that it's created space for all types of adventurers to find success and excess. The captains span the gamut of stoic seamen to excitable voyagers that take all kinds of approaches to building their ship, crew, and strategies for dominance over the beasts that occupy their world.

The beasts in PDT came from all over the world. For millennia they evolved in their native lands to become the apex specimen of their environments. Now each dragon brings unique ferocity and abilities to the locations they inhabit, often creating environments that benefit their approach to dominance and control. Savvy captains will study them well and learn the keys to victory in battle against each of these Monsters.
